About The Downtown Collective Entertainment

In 2016, two musicians began building what would eventually become The Downtown Collective Band. What started as late-night sessions in the attic and small performances quickly grew as other talented musicians joined the vision, bringing together a group dedicated to creating something more intentional than the typical event band.

Over time, that small group evolved into Downtown Collective Entertainment; a curated team of musicians known throughout the Midwest for high-energy performances and packed dance floors.

Today, Downtown Collective performs at weddings and celebrations across the Midwest and has become known for something couples mention again and again in their reviews. A dance floor that stays full.

We believe the best celebrations happen when people feel connected to the moment and to each other. Music has the ability to bring a room together in a way nothing else can.

That belief shapes every performance. By reading the crowd and shaping each set in real time, we match the energy of the celebration and keep the night moving naturally.

With some of the most talented musicians in the Midwest, our goal is simple. Create the kind of atmosphere where guests do not just listen to the music. They become part of the moment.

Ether - Owner, co-founder and singer

Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ether Saure is the owner, co-founder, and a performing musician with The Downtown Collective Entertainment. His love for music began early, inspired by his mom who always had music playing at home, in the car, everywhere they went. Ether grew up listening to artists like Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, shaping his deep appreciation for soulful melodies and powerful vocals that continue to influence his style today.

Known for his passion for live music and attention to detail, he brings energy and heart to every performance. Ether’s favorite styles to sing include R&B, Motown, Soul, Funk, Pop, Rock, and Jazz- especially with a full band featuring rich vocal harmonies and a powerful horn section.

Before founding The Downtown Collective Entertainment, Ether appeared on ABC/Disney’s national reality TV series High School Musical: Get in the Picture in 2008, showcasing his talent on a national stage.

When he’s not performing or managing, Ether enjoys life as a husband and father of two, taking road trips, gaming, watching anime, Marvel or Star Wars shows, and writing original music for his solo and group projects.
